Life Safe Argus - Internet based RFID-System
What is RFID?
RFID stands for radio Frequency Identification. Behind this term a touch less technology to the identification so-called RFID transponders is hidden. These transponders can be used as a label sticking or as a robust block or as glass capsules for injecting. On the transponder most different data can be stored. RFID label can be carried out actively or passively. Active label have its own electricity supply. Passive label receive their energy only from the electromagnetic field of the reader. Via RFID readers the information from the transponders can be selected. The selections work touch less. Typical RFID solutions can handle distances of some centimeters up to several meters. The possible reading distance depends, above all, on the broadcasting performance of the RFID terminal (reader) and the used aerials. In addition: The best known application example of RFID is price tags in supermarkets. With RFID-labels equipped goods can be scanned at the cash desk automatically.
What is Life Safe-Argus and What can the system do?
The specific feature of the system is the administration (here access steps are an advantage) and according to status everything can be questioned about a Pin/code or relevant information about the Internet platform. Another difference is that the product is equipped with related working instructions (using the hand reader an assembler in the product receives the precise working instructions and security warnings). For example: An employee at a maintenance service receives a hand reader and working instructions at the airport. In each working point it is put, the reader receives the precise processing instruction (e.g., Open the front door, remove cables, clean everything and fix the pars again). After occurred maintenance the mechanic identifies him self to the second contact point, enters the carried out works and sends the data. This is the third specific feature of the system. Directly after the execution the protocol appears on the web platform and can be used immediately for calculation. Another specific feature is the documentation and supervision of the arrangements and expiries. If the customer wishes steady parameters can be provided with one or several after switch alarms. For example, the crossed servicing term of a fire extinguisher of the maintenance service and at the same time the security service could be announced by e-mail, SMS, linguistic call, fax. If this servicing request should not be finished in legal time, the system automatically goes to the opposed escalation-mode and informs the supervisor.
Internet based RFID- System
The system is guaranteed that the marked security product always has an optimal maintenance and security standard. The location, the servicing intervals and the responsible maintenance companies / persons are stored on our data bank and can be questioned online according to demand and competence. The differences in maintenance intervals or even the function of a compatible device can be sent immediately by fax, e-mail or SMS to the responsible person for this. In addition determination of position, device type and other useful information can be combined by the system.
